Terms and Conditions

1. INTERPRETATION
In these Terms and Conditions, the following words and phrases shall bear the following meanings:
“The Birth Doula ” will mean La'Risa Black

“The Client” will mean the individual to receive the Service to be provided by the Consultant
“The Service” shall mean the Training and/or Styling Services to be provided by the Consultant to the Client
“The person booking the Service” will mean the individual or organization booking the Service with the Birth Doula regardless of whether this is the Client or not

"Personal Services" will mean the physical Birth Doula Services provided by La'Risa Black.

2. Conditions for Booking the Service
The person booking the Service will only secure a booking with the Consultant once the fees quoted by the Consultant for the Service have been paid to the Consultant.

3. Fees
The Birth Doula will provide a fee quote in writing to the Client based on the Client’s services requested during the interview.
Outside of a radius of 15 miles from the Image Consultant’s location, reasonable travel & accommodation expenses will be payable by the Client.

4. Payment
Personal Services:  Fees are payable in advance and are non-refundable under any circumstances to either the Client or the person who booked the Service.  Advance payment is required in order to secure the booking. Payment can be made via QuickPay with Zelle or  PayPal.
A deposit of 50% of the total fee, is payable upon the return of the Service Contract.  An invoice for the remaining balance will be sent. Balance is due before the first prenatal appointment (37 weeks). NO EXCEPTIONS!

5. Warranty
The Birth Doula represents and warrants that she will perform the Services with reasonable skill and care.

6. Limitation of Liability
Subject to the Client’s obligation to pay the Fees to the Birthing Doula, either party’s liability arising directly out of its obligations under this Agreement and every applicable part of it shall be limited in aggregate to the Fees. The Birth Doula assumes no liability due to the quality of items or services purchased for the Client.

7. Cancellations or change of booking date
Personal Services: If the Client cancels a booking, the advance payment will not be refunded.
If the Client wishes to change a booking, there will be no charge up to a limit of 2 appointment changes, at which point additional charges will be invoiced.  A new booking will be set according to the availability of the Client and the Birthing Doula.
Cancellations more than 7 days before the appointed session will not incur an additional charge. Cancellations less than 7 days before the appointed session will be invoiced for the full outstanding fee.
Appointment changes are permitted by the Birth Doula. If due to unforeseen circumstances or there is a need for La'Risa Black to change the appointment, another date will be offered.

8. 1 Relationship of the Parties
The Parties acknowledge and agree that the Services performed by the Birth Doula, , sub-contractors, or agents shall be as an independent contractor and that nothing in this Agreement shall be deemed to constitute a partnership, joint venture, or otherwise between the parties.

8.2 Confidentiality
Neither Party will disclose any information of the other which comes into its possession under or in relation to this Agreement and which is of a confidential nature.
